Installation of Crane Rolling Road Brake Tester

Crowland Cranes have recently completed the installation and commissioned one of the UK’s sole crane rolling road brake tester systems within our workshop facility. The new equipment enables braking systems to be tested and weighed up to 20t per axle, the floor mounted system is remote controlled by the operator and is PC controlled. The rolling road is fully compliant with current VOSA requirements enabling cranes with up to 7 axles to be fully driven over the system without the need to turn the vehicle around. Investing in this area is part of our continued expansion with respect to customer crane servicing and maintenance, ensuring that once brakes have been overhauled then a certified brake test can be completed in-house and documentation provided, enabling UK customers to be in a position to take advantage of periodic brake testing for their mobile cranes.
