At our Crowland depot we have a fully equipped workshop, consisting off 7 individual working bays, complete with inspection pits and overhead cranes.
Our engineers are constantly being provided with additional tooling, enabling us to complete all our repairs with the quality that is expected in today’s service/repair market.
In addition our on-site paint shop & grit blasting facility is purpose built for the re-finishing of both cranes and plant, and both the prep bay & paint bays are suitable in size for any 6 axle all-terrain crane.
We currently operate five field-service vehicles, each fitted with comprehensive tool kits and diagnostic test equipment , from hydraulic pressure test kits to the Mercedes mini-diag hand held computer.
Our engineers have various individual skills, enabling Crowland Cranes to offer assistance to a wide range of customers. These include hydraulic/pneumatics, power trains and safe load indicators.
More recently we have also found a high demand for customer assistance on lorry loader and overhead cranes, again with our joint crane knowledge we are able to offer our customers the service they require.
We currently operate with three coded welders/fabricators, of which are also equipped to complete this service on site. At our Crowland depot we carry out major structural repairs which include operator cabs, crane chassis and lattice/telescopic boom repairs.
We complete various types of welding procedures from Tig welding for aluminium repairs, to Stick and Mig for more conventional steels. To assist our repairs we also have a ‘T’ slot machine bed which can be configured in a number of ways to suit the work. This enables us to utilize this as a jigging bed and also as a datum tool, of which can be over 40ft long and 8ft wide in its stretched configuration.
Crowland Cranes Ltd also manufacture lifting beams, all are supplied with test certificates and a technical file on hand for future reference.
Structural repairs are checked via our own NDT equipment and certification issued upon request.

Within our Crowland site is our fully licensed paint facility, we currently have two 9mtr x 18mtr bays completing both preparation and re-painting.
Recently we have completed the overhaul of this facility, including new low pressure spray equipment, extraction & solvent recycling plant.
Our high refinishing standards are well known within the crane industry, as we not only give new life to your used equipment, but also paint direct for crane manufacturers on new cranes.
Our high level of preparation of the cranes being processed; enables our customers to have the safe knowledge that their crane is in experienced hands, as all crane operating, de-rigging & rigging of the cranes is only completed by our experienced engineers and crane operators.
In addition to our paint shop facility Crowland Cranes have a purpose built 9mtr x 18mtr grit blasting facility; this operation compliments our refinishing department enabling used equipment to be cleaned back to bare steel work removing all corrosion deposits.
The grit blasting facility is also available to those customers who do not nessasarily require the full painting process, and only require their machines or steel work cleaning with the grit blaster.
